Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30 - 17.30, alternate Saturdays 8.30 - 12.30

Package offered will be dependent on experience

Due to continued growth our clients branch in Rugby is currently looking for an Automotive Technician. The role of Automotive Technician requires the candidate to always display a professional appearance and attitude to their work reassuring clients that the business understand their requirements and that they have their best interests at the heart of all that they do for them.

To be conidered for this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator and be able to convey a clear and accurate message between all work colleagues and potentially the client. You will play a key role in maximising productivity within the service department of our company and will work very closely with the Workshop Supervisor. To that end, you will need to be organised and methodical in your approach.

Role and responsibilities

• To carry out vehicle maintenance and repair work as delegated by the Workshop Supervisor.
• To complete fully all associated administration tasks relating to the maintenance work carried out as listed within the workshop processes document.
• To carry out any day to day housekeeping duties to ensure that the workshop area is clean and tidy and is a safe working environment supporting a culture of safe working.
• To carry out any tasks contributing to a safe working environment as delegated by the Workshop Supervisor.
• To contribute to maintaining workshop equipment as required to ensure equipment is safe and reliable to use.
• To conduct any duty that supports the day to day operation of our clients business.

Requirements

• Current experience working as an Automotive Technician or experience working in a similar role. The candidate must have a minimum Level 3 Qualification with preferably an MOT licence although that is not essential.
• Commitment to delivering technical excellence.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task within a busy environment.
• A good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Computer literate.

Our client cater for all makes, models, and sizes but they specialise in 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles, Sports Utility Vehicles, and Land Rovers, so some knowledge or experience in these types or brands would be useful but not essential.
